DepEd Conducts Its First Division wide Cyber Expo for Public

Teachers June 26 - The Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Imus City had an offset of its 3-day conference 2019 Division Cyber Expo, aiming to provide the teachers adequate knowledge on the various digital innovations that will help them improve the classroom interaction and aid them in lessening the teacher’s work. During the kick-off program, ICTS DepEd Director, Abram Y.C. Abanil gave an overview on the DepEd’s future plans that will help both the pupils and the teachers in the learning process. Abanil mentioned that there will be a new Learning Management System wherein teachers from all over the country will have access to its item bank containing printable unified questionnaires, activities, quizzes, and examinations, making the preparation time lesser than usual. Aside from this privelege, he then confirms that teachers are also entitled of formulating and revisions of evaluation materials through the system. “We are planning to provide teachers laptops and tablet computers packed with the necessary applications that will help them produce competent students,” mentioned Abanil as he continues with the future plan presentation. Aside from having a vision of expanding and improving the competency of the students in the country, DepEd also secured its partnership with Microsoft Corporation, having its advocacy on job transformation in the Philippines. “It is not about technology, it is about you and what you do with it.” Clarissa Segismundo, Education Programs Lead Microsoft, as she impose to the paritcipants their aim to help produce senior high school graduates geared with skills fit to the global standards. With the continuous progress in the digital world, Jomar de Leon, also from Microsoft, said that there is a need of empowerment of every student in the planet to achieve more. As the conference continues, Netiquettes were discussed by Rey Valenzuela, and Overview of Chromebook and Google Apps for Education was also catered by Adrian Luke Cruz.

Maharlikans Join 2019 Division Teachers' Congress

Faculty and staff from Buhay na Tubig Elementary School - Maharlika Annex have taken part to the 2019 Division Teachers' Congress held at Imus Sports Complex, to be informed and be capacitated on financial literacy, and code of ethics for public school teachers. The road to financial stability and security was delivered to all the teachers from the Division of Imus City by financial advisor, Peter Sing, who then gave his remarks on how to handle money wisely. Sing also shared some of his experiences to the audience to encourage them to save for themselves and be financially independent until the day of their retirement, so that they will not depend on the people around them as they enter the age of 65. OIC - Schools Division Superintendent, Hermogenes M. Panganiban, discussed the Code of Ethics which public teachers should follow through in and out of the school. As Sir Panganiban go through the code, he reminded all the teachers to stay professional even by the times of having conflict with their colleagues, and to have the proper attitude to file a complaint to the officer-in-charge of the school rather than ranting through social media so as to keep harmonious realtionship within the workplace. As the day ends, the Division also announced the winning finalists of the Gawad Imuseñong Parangal 2019. |
BNTES – Maharlika Annex participate in 2nd nationwide earthquake drill for 2019.
20th day of June 2019 around 2:00 PM, Buhay na Tubig – Maharlika Annex conducted its second quarter Earthquake drill.
A mass orientation, led by Mr. Rodio Y. Ilao, regarding the purpose of Earthquake drill and precautions for the “BIG ONE” was held at the Maharlika Covered Court at 6 am for morning session and 12:15 pm at afternoon session. Pupils and Teachers performed the “DUCK, COVER and HOLD” inside the classroom when they’ve heard the first siren during class. The school community paused for 10 seconds and calmly went to evacuation area after hearing the second siren. Pupils from kindergarten to grade VI were guided towards evacuation area through the help of two signage’s visible in the school buildings. Teachers counted the pupils present in the evacuation area to ensure the safety of everyone. |
DepEd celebrates 121st Foundation Day
The Department of Education (DepEd) enjoined schools and offices as well as its personnel to take part in activities related to the agency’s 121st Foundation Day. Education Secretary Leonor Briones, in DepEd Memorandum No. 77 series of 2019 issued to undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, bureau service directors, regional directors, schools division superintendents and heads of public and private elementary and secondary schools, announced the celebration of DepEd’s 121st Foundation Day on Friday, June 21.
With the theme, “DepEd Para sa Pilipino,” Briones said that the celebration is pursuant to Administrative Order No. 322 s. of 1997 issued by former President Fidel V. Ramos that recognizes June 23, 1898, as the Foundation Day of the Department. In order to “promote the public awareness” of the event, the DepEd Central Office enjoins all personnel, offices, and officials at the regional, schools division offices and schools to “produce information and communication materials” by hanging of DepEd 121st Foundation Day official streamer in all offices and schools and wearing of blue shirts/polo/blouses on June 21, 2019 “in support of the celebration.” |

“Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan” is this year’s theme of the National Schools Maintenance Week’s Brigada Ekwela 2019 that aims to bring together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort, and resources to prepare public school facilities for the opening of the school year in June. BNTES – Maharlika Annex is one of among active school in Imus City participates in the said important nationwide activity. Mr. Michael Z. Soria, OIC School Head takes the lead role in planning the activities geared on making schools ecologically conscious, resilient, clean and conducive to learning. Mr. Soria spearheaded the school-based kick-off ceremony on May 20, 2019 at Maharlika Covered which was attended by various stakeholders within the community. |
Brigada Eskwela activities lasted for six days, from May 20-25, 2019. Individuals like parents and groups from different private and public sectors came to participate by volunteering their skills, sharing their time and providing in-kind support to the school. Through this implementation, it helps the school’s objective in achieving higher and significant goals geared towards increasing dropouts and helping improve learning for both learners and community; to create a network of community commitment to attain a higher learning, through collaborative programs and projects.
Batang Maharlikans: Rank 3 sa semifinals sa Taekwondo sa Palarong Pambansa 2019
Naging matagumpay ang larangan ng isport ng BNTES – maharlika Annex. Sa pangunguna ng ating mga manlalaro sa taekwondo na si Steve Bhenedict Sales na nakarating sa Palarong Pambansa 2019 na idinaos sa Davao City noong nakaraang Abril 2019 na nilahukan ng 17 rehiyon sa buong bansa.
Nagkaroon ng entry ang paaralan sa athletics, basketball, volleyball, chess, sepak takraw at taekwondo san g idaos ang Cluster Meet 2018.Sumungkit ng gintong medalya sa larangan athletics at taekwondo ang mga batang manlalaro sa pangunguna ng kanilang mga coach na sina G. Rodio Y. Ilao sa athletics at Bb. Cherin Hitosis ng Taekwondo. Hindi man pinalad na makalusot para sa City meet ang ilang events pero naging maganda rin ang laban ng mga ito, nakakuha ng pilak ang sepak takraw sa pangunguna ng kanilang coach na si G. Rustom Ongca. Sa nakaraang City meet 2018, naging mabunga ang paaralan sa larangan ng palakasan, 9 sa mga bata ng paaralan ang lumahok dito. Sina Kurthe Gavriel Dagohoy, Julius Caesar Camu, Marc Nelson Tumamao, Nicollete Jade Jocson, Paez, Modina ay nagmula sa athletics, Marc Macabuhay sa sepak takraw, Steve Benedict Sales at Marco Macazo sa taekwondo. Naging mapalad din si Catherine Mendoza na napili sa volleyball upang lumahok sa provincial Meet 2019 na ginanap sa General Trias, Cavite. Nagpatuloy ang laban ng mga batang maharlikans ng makalusot sa ilang events sa natapos na city Meet 2018, kabilang sa mga nakalusot ang 4 na batang nagmula sa athletics 1 mula sa volleyball at 1 taekwondo para lumaban sa provincial Meet. Nakapagtala ng 1 ginto at isang pilak ang nakuha ng mga bata ng matapos ang Provincial meet 2019. Si Steve Bhenedict Sales ang kaisa-isang bata mula sa maharlika ang nakarating sa STCAA 2019 sa larangan ng Taekwondo kasama ang kanyang coach na si Bb. Cherin Hitosis na nangmula din sa maharlika. Nakuha ni Sales ang gintong medalya sa Poomsae sa STCAA 2019 at ito ang |
naging baraha nya upang makarating sa palarong Pambansa sa Davao subalit kinapos na makasungkit ng medalya pero nakatapos siya sa ikalimang pwesto matapos ang elimination at ikatlong pwesto naman para sa semifinals. Sa kabuuan naging makasaysayan ang larangan ng isport ng maharlika dahil may bata at coach na nakarating sa palarong Pambansa sa loob ng 9 na taon.
